Fall Frenzy Get Well Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Hi Stampin Friends! It’s been a while! My summer flew by. I enjoyed every moment of it! The best part was having my son home from college for the summer. Now it’s back to empty nesting again! I kept busy in my craft room over the summer making cards for family & friends in addition to making cards for my booth at our local mercantile and my online Etsy store.

Our theme for this month is a perfect transition away from summer with the theme of “Fall Frenzy”. Here is my first “fall” card I have made this year! I needed to make several “Get Well” cards so I have combined these two themes together. Here is my card:

I had so much fun making this card because it was my first chance to explore my fall goodies from my preorder for the Sep-Dec Catalog and the September Online Exclusives. AND I used my new Stampin’ Up Hot Foil system too! So, so many new and exciting products to play with! I have decided my new favorite fall paper is Autumn Opulence DSP and my new favorite suite is the Sunflower Fields Suite. I wasnt sure about the Hot Foil system, but I tried it and fell in love it. So this card uses a lot of my new favorites and I am so excited to share it!

To make this card:

• For cardbase, cut Pecan Pie cardstock to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and score at 4-1/4″
• Cut Blackberry Bliss cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4 and glue onto cardbase
• Cut Autumn Opulence DSP (Sep 2026 Online Exclusive) to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8″ and glue on top of Blackberry Bliss layer
• Use the new Stampin’Up Hot Foil system to make the “Get Well” layer using gold foil, Blackberry Bliss Two-Tone Cardstock (darker side), and the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies. Cut out sentiment with coordinating die
• Stamp the small single flower with a stem image from the Radiant Sunflowers Stamp Set (Sep-Dec 2026 catalog). I stamped the flower portion with Blackberry Bliss ink and the leaf portion with Peaceful Pine ink. Die cut this flower with the coordinationg die cut. Color the flower with Golden Glow light Stampin’ Blend and the leaf with Peaceful Pine light Stampin’ Blend
• Cut a vase with the Radiant Sunflower Dies (Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog) and Pecan Pie Cardstock
• Cut Very Vanilla cardstock with the Tile Garden Dies (Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog) , using the second largest line/dot edged square.
• Glue the die cut flower and vase towards the top left corner of the Very Vanilla die cut square. Add the “Get Well” sentiment towards the bottom right corner, slightly overlapping, and both items coming off the square slightly
• Adhere the square in the center of the card with dimensionals.
• Add 2 Radiant Gems (Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog) for bling.

Here is a close up:

For the inside, I adhered a panel of Very Vanilla. I stamped a sentiment from the Sending Salutations Stamp Set (May-Aug 2026 Catalog) which states ” Sending Best Wishes For health and healing”. I added a small strip of the Autumn Opulence DSP at the bottom.

And of course, I decorated the envelope flap with the same DSP too. I may have to get some more of this DSP, I just love it so much!

Sales Tax Holiday

The 2026 back-to-school sales tax holiday season is upon us!  During select dates in August, eight states are offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies.

Good news: this includes select Stampin’ Up! products!  According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible.

Please note that you must place your Stampin’ Up! orders during the tax holiday period to receive qualifying items tax-free.  Orders must be placed between midnight on the first day and midnight on the last day of the applicable tax holiday. Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the exemption may not apply to county, city, or special jurisdiction taxes.

Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Wisconsin have suspended the sales tax holiday this year.
