Triangle Card with Lovely & Beautiful DSP for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday and welcome back to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! This week we have a color challenge using at least of the 3 colors below:

I recently saw some triangle cards while browsing through Instagram and Pinterest. It is a great way to use Designer Series Paper and showcase 2 different patterns at once. The colors in this challenge are in one of my very favorite Designer Series Paper, Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the soft corals, greens, and lavender in this paper. And some of the patterns have gold accents which make it so elegant. So I decided this was a perfect time to try out the triangle cards! Here is my card:

To make this card:

• Cut Thick White Cardstock at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″
• Cut Petal Pink Cardstock at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
• Cut 2 patterns of Lovely & Beautiful SDSP at 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
• Cut the two DSP panels into diagonal triangles twice (like an “X”). Tip: after the first cut, use washi tape or post it note to hold the paper together during the second cut. You will have an extra set of triangles that you can use for a second card.

• Glue the triangles onto the Petal Pink panel, leaving approximately 1/8″ of space in between triangles and edges.

• Cut scrap Basic White cardstock with the 4th largest label die from Beautifully Celebrated Dies
• Stamp on the die cut label with Calypso Coral Ink, using the sentiment “Thinking of You” from the Framed All Around stamp set
• Add 3 Pearlized Faceted Circles for bling
• Using the die that looks like baby’s breath from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies, cut out twice using Gold Foil Sheets.
• Add stamped sentiment label to center of card using dimensionals. Glue the Gold sprigs under the label.

For the inside, I kept it simple. I stamped the baby breaths image from the Beautifully Celebrated stamp set with Calypo Coral ink.

I decorated the envelope with the same Designer Series Paper for a coordinated look.

I used my second set of triangles to make a similar card with a Happy Birthday sentiment on the front. I am going to use this design to make more cards with other colors and papers. Changes to the Upcoming Catalog Timelines

Starting in May, Stampin’ Up! is refreshing the way they share products in print, with a new, streamlined catalog strategy designed to make shopping from their catalogs easier and more intuitive.  Instead of an annual catalog and multiple minis, they are moving to three beautifully designed catalogs per year—each one complete, current, and easy to use on its own.  No more overlapping catalogs!

New Magnetic Ink Pads – 2026-2028 In Colors!

Beginning in May 2026, Stampin’ Up! will introduce new felt ink pads in a magnetic, stackable case design.

• In 2026, only the new In Colors will be offered in the new magnetic felt pads.
• In 2027, all ink colors will transition to the new magnetic felt pad as part of a planned color revamp, and the current pad style will be phased out.

Importantly, existing ink pads will remain usable throughout this transition—there is no immediate need to replace what you already own. Please be aware, however, that once the transition takes place, the old ink pad design will only be available while supplies last.

The photo is an early peek at the new 2026-2028 In Colors!  And they look beautiful!!  The new Magnetic Ink Pads in the new In Colors will be available to order May 5!  The colors are a little hard to read in the image, but here they are (from left to right):

• Barely Blush
• Golden Glow
• Peaceful Pine
• Hydrangea Hue

I have heard that these new ink pads are much easier to open and close and I am looking forward to that!
