Nature Walk Sympathy Card for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!! We have a sketch challenge this week for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. Here’s what it looks like:

This sketch immediately drew me to the Nature Walk Suite! This suite is very versatile and can be used for many occasions. I had a sympathy card to make and this suite is perfect for making a sympathy card with its colors and designs. Here is the card I made:

To make this card:

• Cut Mossy Meadow for cardbase at 4-1/4 x 11″ and score at 5-1/2″
• Cut the greens and browns patterned paper from Nature Walk Designer Series Paper at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8″ and glue onto cardbase
• Cut lightest color of Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper at 4-1/8 x 2-1/2 inches
• Stamp large leaf image from Nature’s Symphony stamp set onto the Textured Paper several times with Old Olive Ink
• Glue onto center of card
• Cut scrap Mossy Meadow with die from Creative Haven Dies
• Stamp sentiment “Thinking of You” from the new Framed All Around (available in March) in Versamark ink onto Mossy Meadow Label, apply white embossing powder and heat set
• Glue sentiment label onto the Textured paper towards the left
• Cut Earthen Toned Metallic paper with large leaf dies from Nature’s Symphony Dies and glue on towards the right side of the card
• Add 3 green Low Profile Dots (on the Last Chance list)

For the inside of the card, I added a small strip of the same DSP at the bottom of a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped another sentiment from the Framed All Around stamp set that will be coming out in March. It was inked in Old Olive ink.

Then I decorated the envelope for complete coordination.

This is such a great suite for so many different occasions. And the Framed All Around set has some wonderful sentiments. You are definitely going to want to add that to your cart when it comes out in March!
