Love Notes Valentine’s Card

Our theme this month is “love” which could be valentine, anniversary, wedding, love you, etc. I have decided to apply the love theme to a Valentine’s card as February is around the corner! Plus, I just got the super cute Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Series Paper and could not wait to play with it! Here is my card:

I had so much fun playing around with the Love Notes Designer Series Paper. It is the 6×6″ size and has 8 sheets of 6 double-sided designs. I love how the different designs coordinate with each other. I used the 3 papers shown below along with the Branching Out dies and the Three Banner Punch.

To make this card, I used Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the cardbase. It was cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. I used the Love Notes DSP at the top right of my picture for the first panel. I cut the green floral area to 4 x 5-1/4″ and glued it on the cardbase. I cut the Flirty Flamingo crisscross pattern at 1-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and glued it over the green floral towards the left side of my card. Next I cut out the floral bouquet from the paper on the bottom right of my picture above with the Branching Out Die. I wrapped this piece with some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and added a bow. I adhered this to the card with dimensionals. The last step was to punch out the sentiment “Be My Valentine” with the Three Banner Punch. I adhered that with dimensionals as well.

For the inside of my card, I glued a small strip of the green floral pattern the bottom of a Basic White Panel. I used the Endless Love Stamp Set to stamp the hearts. These are inked in Flirty Flamingo and stamped off once before stamping onto the white panel. I inked the sentiment “Love you!” from the Reasons to Celebrate stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and stamped over one of the hearts.
