Celebration Expressions Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

This month for our Team Blog Hop, our theme is “Celebrate”. That very word “celebrate” reminded me that I had not yet used my Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack! So this was the perfect opportunity to pull it out and play with it. Here is what I made:

Along with the Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack, I also used the Simple Congrats stamp, and the new Addressed to You stamp set that will be coming out in January. To make this card, I used Berry Burst for the card base. It was cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″. Then I used the two of the smaller papers in Card Pack- one is Timid Tiger and the other is Balmy Blue. I glued those on in the upper left corner and bottom right corner, leaving about 1/8″ of spacing from the edge. Next I used the larger paper from the pack that has the firework bursts pattern and I stamped “Congrats” over the bursts. The sentiment from from the Simple Congrats stamp set and is inked in Berry Burst. After stamping, I cut this paper down to 2-1/2″ height around the word. I left it 6 inches wide. I took this strip and glued it on the diagonal pattern paper from the card pack. I glued it along with the angle of the diagonals on the paper. Then I trimmed it all to a 4-1/2 x 3-1/2″ rectangle. I matted this onto a 4-5/8 x 3-5/8″ rectangle. I adhered this matted rectangle panel on with dimensionals, centering it in the middle. At this point, I felt like it need a little bit more. I remembered that the new Addressed to You stamp set coming in January had a balloon image. Even better it has 3 balloons so I could continue with the 3 color theme I had going. I stamped 3 of these balloon images in Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White paper. I colored the balloons with my Stampin Blends in Berry Burst, Timid Tiger, and Balmy Blue. I fussy-cut them out them out. I adhered 2 of them on with mini-dimensionals. I saved the 3rd one for the inside. The last step was to add some Basic Rhinestone Jewels in the corners of the card.

For the inside, of the card, I glued in the diagonal pattern paper from the card pack. That was cut at 5-1/4 x 4″. Next I glued in a 5 x 3-3/4″ panel of Basic White on top of the diagonal patterned paper. I glued in that 3rd colored balloon that I saved, putting it in the upper right corner. Next I took the paper from the card pack that has congratulatory words in several languages and I cut out some of the English congratulatory words and glued them in.

Because I used the new Addressed to You stamp set for the balloons, I have to show you what else this awesome stamp set has! When I saw it, I knew I had to get it! It has those lined stamps for the front of the envelope. When my kids were little and working on their thank you cards, I would draw a box with lines lightly in pencil on the front of the envelope so they knew where to write the address. Now they have the cutest stamp set for that and it does not need to be erased. And it makes the front of the card fancy! The stamp set has a box, an oval, and also the lines if you want to add those. Then it has several images you can put along with it. One is the balloons that I used and others are flowers, snowflakes, and trees. For my envelope, I also lined the flap with the diagonal paper from the card pack! Here is my very much decorated envelope! Isn’t it fancy?!
