North Pole Delivery Pop-Up Christmas Card

Happy Saturday! Hope this post finds everyone doing well. Today I have a fun, cute card to show! I first saw this card from my teammate, Mary Deatherage, of Stamp-n-Lingers. I fell in love with it and had to CASE it. Here is the front of my card:

I just love this North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper. I am a big animal lover with many pets in home so this paper was right up my alley. I love this pattern with all the different animals driving their delivery trucks!

To make the front of the card, I used Real Red cardstock for the base. It was cut at 4-1/4″ by 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″. I added 2 patterns of the DSP. The Pool Party panel is cut at 4 x3″. The vertical strip with the animal drivers is cut at 2-3/8 x 5-1/2″. Both were glued on. I stamped the sentiments “Special Delivery” and “From Here to There” from the Jolly Delivery stamp set. These were inked in Real Red Ink. I cut it out with a round die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Then I stamped the paw print image in Pool Party ink onto the circle under the words. Next, I punched out a Real Red circle with the 2″ punch. I glued the two circles together and then adhered them with dimensionals. I added Traditional Sparkling Sequins for embellishment. Very simple and easy to make the front of the card! If you think the front is cute, wait until you see the inside!!

The inside pop-out center was so fun to make. I followed the instructions that Mary Deatherage provided in her blog post. You can see that here. I will describe how I made it and if you want more detailed info, Mary has a video.

I cut a panel of Basic White at 4x 10-1/2″ and turned it horizontally and scored it at 4-1/4″, 5-1/4″, and 6-1/4 inch. The 4-1/4″ is folded as a valley, the 5-1/4″ is a mountain, and the 6-1/4″ is a valley. I cut 2 small panels of the Pool Party pattern of the DSP at 7/8 x 3-7/8″ inch and glued those on the pop-out section. I cut the village pattern of the DSP at 3-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ and glued that at the top. I stamped the bottom section with the sentiment in Real Red ink and added the trail of pawprints in Pool Party ink. Then, I glued this panel on the cardbase, making sure I did not put glue under the pop-out section. Then came the very fun part- adding the decorations to the pop-out section. This DSP has two sheets of pre-cut images. One is of all the different animals and critters and the other is all the different buildings in the village, etc. Mary had a dog on hers that looks very much like her dog Finn (if you follow her blog, you know all about Finn). Because I am also a crazy cat lady, I added a cat for mine along with my pink building. I love how it turned out. Here is a close up!

Isnt this just the cutest suite?! Its perfect for animal lovers! We made this card in my Stamp Camp this month. Everyone loved being able to choose which animal and village building they wanted from the pre-cut pages. Here is a sample of some of the cards they made in Stamp Camp:
