Peace on Earth Bauble Ornament Card for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! For our weekly blog hop this week, we have a sketch challenge!

Here is what I made with this challenge! I combined 2 sets to create this- the Peace on Earth Bundle and the Bauble Blooms dies.

The cardbase is Secret Sea cardstock cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The next panel is Misty Moonlight, cut at 5-3/8 x 4-1/8″. The next panel is Cloud Cover cut at 5-1/4 x 4″. I used a pattern from the Peaceful Garden Designer Series paper for the ornament. The ornament was cut out with the Bauble Blooms Dies. I cut the ornament topper with the silver glimmer paper that is from the Peaceful Gardens Glimmer paper. The topper was glued onto the ornament. I cut out the sprigs of leaves four times from the Peace on Earth Dies and glued them underneath the ornament. Then I adhered the ornament onto the Cloud Cover panel with dimensionals. I inked up the “Peace, Love, & Joy” sentiment from the Peace on Earth stamp set in Secret Sea ink and stamped it underneath the ornament. Then I cut out a dove with the Peace on Earth Dies and Basic White cardstock. I “painted” the end of the dove’s wings with Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. I added a black dot for the dove’s eye. Then I glued the dove onto the ornament. The final touch was to add 3 silver Faceted Snowflakes. Here’s close up of the dove:

For the inside of the card, I decorated a panel of Basic White cardstock with the same DSP as the ornament. Then I matted this on a layer of Cloud Cover.

It was fun to think outside the box a little bit and combine two different sets together- the dove and Peace on Earth stamp set with the Bauble Blooms ornament die. I love how this card came out with the dove as the focal point.
