Artistic Leaves Thank You Card

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Hope you have something fun and or relaxing planned for your holiday weekend. We will doing a mix of both- having some fun and getting some relaxation in too!

I have a fall card for you today to kick off Labor Day! This card uses the Artistic Leaves stamp set. I was inspired by a similar card that Tara Beth Carpenter of http://www.tarabethstamps.com made. I cased her card and made it my own with some changes in color and design. (Case means Copy And Share Everything) The cardbase is Crumb Cake cut at 11x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″. The next panel is Timid Tiger cardstock cut at 4 x 5-1/4″. The next Crumb Cake panel is cut at 3-7/8 x 5-1/8″. On this panel, I randomly stamped the large leaf in Pecan Pie ink. I colored the leaves with Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blend. I stamped the “speckles” in Pecan Pie ink around the leaves. I added loose gold seguins in the center of the leaves adhered with glue dots. On a piece of scrap Crumb Cake, I stamped the sentiment “”Grateful for you” in Pecan Pie ink. I cut that out with the second smallest Spotlight on Nature dies. Then I cut out Gold Foil with the third smallest Stylish Shapes circle die. I glued the Crumb Cake circle onto the Gold Foil circle. This pair was adhered with dimensionals onto the front of the card. I made a small bow with the Gold Striped Ribbon off the bottom right of the circle.

For the inside of the card, I first glued in a 4-3/4 x 3-7/8″ panel of Timid Tiger. Then on top of that I glued a 4-7/8 x 3-5/8″ panel of Basic Beige. I decorated the Basic Beige panel with the smaller leaf stamped in Pecan Pie. The leaf was colored in with Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blend. The speckles were added again in Pecan Pie ink. The inside of this card was also inspired by Tara Beth’s card. This is something different than I normally do inside my cards and it was fun to try something new! I love being inspired (and supported) by our fellow demonstrators!!
