Floral Impressions for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Today is Thursday! One of my favorite days of the week because its time for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!

This week we have a color challenge!

The 3 colors I chose are Old Olive, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party! Here’s my card!

The cardbase is Fresh Freesia. The flower paper is from the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. The embossed Old Olive paper is a two-tone cardstock from the Weekend Adventures. This paper was embossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder, then sanded to expose the white in the two-tone cardstock. After sanding it, I fussy cut along the tops of the embossed area and then sanded more along the fussy cut. I wrapped a White 1/4″ ribbon around this panel and tied a bow on the left side. This panel was adhered directly on top of the floral DSP. Here is a close up of that panel.

The sentiment is from Impressions Abloom Stamp Set. It is inked in Old Olive and stamped onto a Pool Party pattern from the Floral Impressions DSP. I then cut it out with the smallest rectangle die from Nested Essentials Dies. It was adhered over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I used two of the sentiments from the Impressions Abloom stamp set inked in Old Olive. I inked the four-petal stamp in Fresh Freesia and stamped off once on my grid paper before stamping on the white panel. I did the same with the Pool Party ink.

I enjoyed being using these bright, cheerful colors again before I start diving into fall stamping and pulling out my darker colors.
