Beautiful Gallery Simple Card for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

The time is flying by, I can’t believe this is my 3rd week already with this awesome Krew. This week’s challenge is a simple design. Here is what the sketch looks like:

I still have my Beautiful Gallery Suite out on my craft desk. I have been having so much fun playing with it this week. If you saw my previous blog post, I made a card with the green floral pattern from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. This time, the blue floral pattern was calling my name!!

I just love this combination of Cloud Cover and Secret Sea together. The cardbase is Secret Sea. The next panel is a Cloud Cover pattern which is actually the back side of the blue rose pattern. This Cloud Cover pattern is cut at 5-3/8 x 4-1/8″. Next, I matted the blue rose pattern (cut at 4-1/2″x 3-1/4″) onto a panel of Secret Sea (cut at 4-3/4 x 3-1/2″). This combined panel was adhered with dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I used More Messages Bundle. This stamp set is actually several sentiments on one stamp. I inked the area where the “Lots of Love” sentiment was and stamped it on Cloud Cover cardstock. I matched it up the corresponding die to cut it out. I adhered this with dimensionals cut in half (or you can use the mini-dimensionals). The last touch for the front of the card was adding 3 In-Color Flat Pearls in Cloud Cover.

For the inside, I decided to adhere a panel of the same Cloud Cover DSP. It is light enough that a message can be written on it with a darker ink. I decorate this panel with a small strip of the rose side of the DSP. For the sentiment, I used the same More Messages stamp set. I carefully inked around the “Always Here For You” in Secret Sea ink. It was at the bottom of the stamp, so that helped!

This was a fun card to make, simple but elegant! Using the DSP inside the card is new for me, I liked the added “fanciness” of it.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I will be posting another card with the Gallery Blooms suite later this week, so come back to look for it! 1. So pretty! Love how you let this stunning DSP do the work. And, I ALSO love when you’re able to use DSP for the inner liner! Cool! ๐Ÿ™‚
