Happy 4th of July with Arched Wishes

4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays! Hot summer days, swimming, BBQ, getting together with friends and fireworks- so many of my favorite activities. Not to mention, as an Air Force spouse, I feel very proud to be an American! I wanted to make a birthday card that was 4th of July themed! There’s someone special in my life who loves all things Americana and whose favorite colors are red, white, and blue. I will be giving this card to that person!

To make this card, I used Real Red cardstock for the base. Next, I layered it with a panel of paper from the Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper. The color of the paper is Secret Sea and the pattern reminds me of fireworks. Then I cut Basic White cardstock with the 3rd largest arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies. I stamped it with the cupcake image and 3 balloons from the Arched Wishes Stamp Set. I colored the images with my Stampin Blends in Secret Sea blended with Cloud Cover for the blues and light & dark Real Red for the red. For the “white” balloon, I colored it with Wink of Stella which gives it a fun shimmer! I added a little dot of Wink of Stella the top of the candle too! The sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs Stamp Set. I stamped it in Real Red ink onto Cloud Cover cardstock and cut it out with a banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies. I propped up the banner with dimensionals.
