Happy Autumn for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Hi Stampin Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful week! It’s time for our monthly team blog hop with Amy’s Inkin’ Krew! The theme this month is “Giving Thanks”

Here is what I made for this month’s theme:

To make this card, I used the Beautiful Pumpkins bundle and Words For The Seasons bundle along with the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper.

The card base is Early Espresso, cut at 4-1/4 x 11, & scored at 5-1/2″. The next panel is 4-1/8x 5-3/8. It is the Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry plaid pattern from the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper. The brown banner is a Early Espresso pattern from the same DSP. I cut it with the 7th banner from the Party Banner Dies. Then I cut another banner of the same size with Thick White Cardstock. I glued the brown banner on top of the thick white banner to give it rigidity for adhering with dimensionals. The “Happy Autumn” script is cut out with the Words For The Seasons dies with Crushed Curry cardstock and glued on with a light touch of Crushed Curry. The pumpkins are from the Beautiful Pumpkins stamp set. This is two-step staming. For both pumpkins, I stamped off the filler image to lighten the color and then the 2nd stamp was stamped with full strength on top of the first stamp. The large pumpkin is Cajun Craze ink and the smaller pumpkin is Crushed Curry. Their stems were stamped in Early Espresso. The pumpkins and stems were cut out with the corresponding Beautiful Pumpkin dies. The larger Cajun Craze pumpkin was glued on and the smaller Crushed Curry pumpkin was adhered with dimensionals. The final touch was to add some Cajun Craze & Gold Dots.

For the inside of the card, I decorate a Basic White panel with a small strip of the plaid patterned Gathering Together DSP. The sentiment is inked in Cajun Craze and is from the Words For The Season stamp set.

This card would make a good Thanksgiving card or just a general Thanks card. I really enjoy giving thank you cards, especially when people are not expecting them. It’s a great way to let people know that their friendship is appreciated.
