Easter Basket Card for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday! Hope your week has been going well. We have a sketch challenge today for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We are to use the sketch below:

I decided to use this sketch to make an Easter card and substituted a basket for the circle. Here is the card I made:

I used the Easter Basket bundle, Easter Joy Designer Series Paper, Easter Assortment embellishments, and the Banner Triple Punch to make this card.

To make this card:

• Cut Crumb Cake cardstock at 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″
• Cut Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper at 5-1/4 x 4-1/4″ and glue on
• Use scrap Crumb Cake cardstock to cut a basket with the basket die from Easter Basket Dies.
• Use scrap Basic White cardstock to cut the background area inside the handle with the same basket die from Easter Basket Dies
• Use scrap Shy Shamrock cardstock to cut the grass with the grass die from Easter Basket Dies
• Glue all of these die cuts (basket, background, and grass together on the left side of the card.
• Stamp the bunny image from the Easter Basket stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, and color his nose, ears, and cheeks with Pretty Ink Pink Stampin’ Blend. Then cut out with corresponding die
• Stamp the carrot image from the Easter Basket stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, and color with Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends. Then cut out with corresponding die.
• Cut out (fussy cut) a few eggs from the egg patterned page of Easter Joy Speciality Designer Series Paper.
• Remove the bottom of the bunny and adhere with dimensionals. Glue the carrot under one of the bunny’s arms and glue the fussy cut eggs and glue into basket as well.
• Stamp the sentiment “Happy Easter” with Shy Shamrock ink onto scrap Basic White. Punch out with the Banner Triple Punch with only one end inserted into the punch at a time, this allows for a longer banner.
• Add 3 Easter Assortment embellishments, one in each color

For the inside, I decorated a panel of Basic White with the flower image from the Easter Basket stamp set in the bottom left corner with Shy Shamrock ink. Then I placed a small strip of the same Specialty Designer Series Paper at the bottom.

The Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper is so fun with its bright cheerful colors. I especially love the foil accents to the pages. The Easter Basket bundle is a great one, you can use it for Easter cards or for general flowers in a basket card, like the one I made in my previous blog post. I hope you enjoyed this card. Changes to the Upcoming Catalog Timelines

Starting in May, Stampin’ Up! is refreshing the way they share products in print, with a new, streamlined catalog strategy designed to make shopping from their catalogs easier and more intuitive.  Instead of an annual catalog and multiple minis, they are moving to three beautifully designed catalogs per year—each one complete, current, and easy to use on its own.  No more overlapping catalogs!

New Magnetic Ink Pads – 2026-2028 In Colors!

Beginning in May 2026, Stampin’ Up! will introduce new felt ink pads in a magnetic, stackable case design.

• In 2026, only the new In Colors will be offered in the new magnetic felt pads.
• In 2027, all ink colors will transition to the new magnetic felt pad as part of a planned color revamp, and the current pad style will be phased out.

Importantly, existing ink pads will remain usable throughout this transition—there is no immediate need to replace what you already own. Please be aware, however, that once the transition takes place, the old ink pad design will only be available while supplies last.

The photo is an early peek at the new 2026-2028 In Colors!  And they look beautiful!!  The new Magnetic Ink Pads in the new In Colors will be available to order May 5!  The colors are a little hard to read in the image, but here they are (from left to right):

• Hydrangea Hue

I have heard that these new ink pads are much easier to open and close and I am looking forward to that!
