Happy Place Birthday Card

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a new stamp set called Happy Place. This stamp set was designed by Sharon Armstrong, Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, when she reached her $1 million sales. She said that the beach was her happy place so she wanted to design a beach themed stamp set. I absolutely love this stamp set that she designed. It is a very technique friendly stamp set too. This is the card I made using this stamp set. I used Pretty Peacock as my card base. The next layer is Calypso Coral. Then I used a pattern from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper that looks like the sky to me. I stamped the “Happy” and “Birthday” both in Pretty Peacock ink. I colored the “HAPPY” with my Stampin Blends from top to bottom: Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Calypso Coral, and Azure Afternoon. I decorated the card with the Loose Frosted Gems that are still available for purchase. I used the Pretty Peacock gems. I glued the gems on with a tiny, tiny dot of liquid glue. The Calypso Coral/Beautiful Bokeh panel is adhered with dimensionals and the rest is adhered with liquid glue. Here’s a side view:

For the inside of the card, I decorated a panel of Basic White with a strip of the same Designer Series Paper (Beautiful Bokeh).

I love how this card turned out. The beach is also my happy place so I enjoyed coloring the skies and water. Not quite as happy as being on the beach, but definitely a close second.
