Simple Thank You Cards

Are you like me where you are always in need of a Thank You card? I like to give people a handwritten note to let them know I appreciate their thoughtfulness. I usually want to make elaborate cards to show them just HOW much I appreciate them! However, I’ve found that tends to make me procrastinate when I have to find that extra time to make a elaborate card. With Stampin Up’s beautiful Designer Series papers, I can still get that same effect in significantly less time! Let these paper do the work for you!! Here are two Thank you cards that I made using Designer Series Paper, Thanking You Stamp Set, and heat embossing!

The first card uses a pattern from the Thoughtful Journeys DSP. It’s a beautiful, colorful collection of nature scenes.

To make this very simple card, I used Thick White Cardstock for the base. I used Versamark to stamp the sentiment on the paper and heat embossed with White embossing powder. When dried it gives a raised 3D effect making this card special. Then I just popped on a few Two Tone Sparkle Gems on top.

I liked how it turned out so much, I decided to make another one using the Botanical Textures DSP. All the patterns in this collection are black and white. I love that black and white modern look! This card is embellished with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The inside of the cards are decorated with a thin strip of the DSP.

To make these cards feel even more personalized, I decided to dress up the envelopes with the DSP as well. To make those, glue a 6″ x 2-1/2″ panel on the flap and then trim the overhang.

All of this took me 10 minutes or less to make! It’s so simple when you let the gorgeous Designer Series Paper do the work for you!! I can’t wait to send these out!!
